The Danube Cycle Path from Passau to Vienna is appreciated for its excellent infrastructure and service. About 50 bicycle-friendly businesses between Passau and Vienna have been qualified by the ADFC as bett+bike businesses whose doors are always open to cyclists. Prudent advance planning allows more time to enjoy the exciting landscapes such as the 180 degree bend of the Schlögener Schlinge or the romantic UNESCO World Heritage landscape of Wachau with its vineyards.

UNESCO World Heritage

With 2,888 km from its source to its mouth, the Danube is the second longest river in Europe and connects more countries and cultures than any other river on earth. Each section of the river is unique and exudes its own magical attraction. From impressive natural spectacles to the architectural witnesses of a rich and turbulent past, the approximately 350 kilometers of river through Austria are home to World Heritage Sites of great significance. As many as four of the twelve World Heritage Sites in Austria can be found in the Danube region.
