Explore the Heart of the Danube
Explore Slavonia and Baranja in the geographical center of the Danube, along popular cycling routes – the EuroVelo 13 (Drava River route) stretching downstream where it merges with the EuroVelo 6 – the Danube route. Cycle and explore cities such as Valpovo and Našice with their medieval and baroque castles, take a swim at the sandy Copacabana beach in Osijek or visit one of the traditional “Čarda” taverns and taste the spicy “Fish-Paprikash”. Cycle further along the Danube’s meanders and lush vineyards towards the fortress of Erdut. Switch from a bicycle to a horse or a boat and explore the marshlands of Kopački rit Nature Park, and continue upstream to the viewpoint in Batina on the Danube to enjoy the breathtaking panoramas of three countries at the same time: Croatia, Serbia and Hungary. While you’re there, don’t miss on visiting the village of Zmajevac with the picturesque old style wine cellars named “Gator” and enjoy a glass of “Graševina”, the pride of every local wine producer.

Srijem and Slavonia: Andrijaševci – a rural oasis for vacation, but also for adrenaline lovers
“Glide” along Bosut on a modern river catamaran, and then “fly over” the magical river without a source on a zipline. Both children and adults will enjoy this picturesque place in Srijem and Slavonia
The zipline over the Bosut, a magical river that the ancient Romans used to say flows upstream in the morning and downstream in the afternoon, is a unique tourist attraction in Andrijaševci, which makes the Vukovar-Srijem County a desirable tourist destination for all those with a sporting spirit and an adrenaline rush. After a fun adventure in an adrenaline park, nothing is as good as relaxing on the calm Bosut, which ripples with the slightest breeze. Srijem and Slavonia a paradise for gourmets
In eastern Croatia, food is cooked long and slowly, with lots of love and red pepper. You will enjoy spicy flavors, boneless fish, fine cakes and top wines of the Srijem Vineyard.
In Srijem and Slavonia, it is served in abundance and variety like nowhere else, so it should all be arranged in order and with meaning. A true paradise for gourmets, an irresistible destination for those who watch their calories, but who else counts them on such a vacation?!
For an appetizer, they will offer you cracklings, kulen, kulen’s cutlet, schvargle, ham, bacon, sausage, cheese, ajvar…, then a hearty soup or a spicy dish from the kettle – shepherd’s pie and fish, which you can also get without the bone, after that it’s perfect roasting or carp in forks, and delicious cookies of all colors and sizes, from small “wedding” ones to original saltines… Could it be better? You’ll toast with fragrant brandy, and each meal is accompanied by top-quality wine from the famous Srijem vineyard, which was enjoyed by kings… And that’s what a completely ordinary day in Srijem and Slavonia looks like. What is everyday life for some is a gourmet feast for others. Stop by, you’ll enjoy it. And not only in food and wines.
